Green Day Unveil Post-Rehab Tour Dates
Because they apparently love to screw with journalists attempting to relax on the last day of 2012, Green Day just announced their first new tour dates since frontman Billie Joe Armstrong left for rehab this fall, following his freakout onstage at iHeartRadio Fest.
Armstrong addressed fans in a statement, "Dear friends... I just want to thank you for all for the love and support you've shown for the past few months. Believe me, it hasn't gone unnoticed and I'm eternally grateful to have such an amazing set of friends and family. I'm getting better everyday. So now, without further ado, the show must go on. We can't wait to get on the road and live out loud! Our passion has only grown stronger."
But there's some bad news, too: Green Day also canceled another run of dates in January and February—get more info here. But the band also promise that additional west coast dates will be announced in early 2013. Check out the new itinerary below.
