Happy birthday, Jay-Z!  As Hova turns 43 today, he's probably thinking it will be tough to top his achievements in this past year. First of all, there was the arrival of his daughter Blue Ivy. Beyonce gave birth to Jigga's first child on January 7, an event that Jay celebrated by releasing "Glory" (Fuse celebrated with a photo gallery).

The next biggest event for Jay-Z had to be his triumphant return to Brooklyn. Not only did he open the borough's new arena, the Barclays Center, with eight sold out shows, but he also borrowed a menorah for the guy living in his old apartment building at 450 State Street! Be sure to check out our photo gallery from opening night concert!

Then there was Hova's support of a young, up-and-coming politician named Barack Obama. Not only did Jay help raise over $4 million for the president, he also appeared in an ad for Obama and performed at several Obama rallies.

There was also Jigga's landmark Made In America festival in Philadelphia. Hov curated the lineup, which included performances by Pearl Jam, D'Angelo and Run-DMC. Check out our photos from the show.

Phew. An impressive year, Jay! To top it, Mr. Shawn Carter is going to have to try very, very hard, but we think he can do it. After all, in just a few weeks he'll perform a New Year's Eve show with Coldplay, which is a surefire way to start off the new year with a bang.

August 29: Little Orphan Ed?

The "Don't" singer, Ed Sheeran, makes a special appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" as the lovable orphan, Annie. Donning the famous red dress, and the equally famous red hair, we think Sheeran would make a great understudy. The best part though? His little dog friend, Sandy on that skateboard.
