Ministry Guitarist Mike Scaccia Dies

The musician collapsed onstage and was pronounced dead shortly afterward

Ministry guitarist Mike Scaccia died Saturday night onstage in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 47.

The axeman's band Rigor Mortis was playing at the Rail Club for a 50th birthday celebration for singer Bruce Corbitt, when Scaccia collapsed. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, Rolling Stone reports. 

Ministry's official Facebook page posted the statement: "MICHAEL RALPH SCACCIA ...Our Dearest Friend. We love you. We miss you. God Rest Your Precious Soul. We cannot fathom this loss."
