Exciting news for fans of French indie rockers Phoenix! The band just announced plans to release their highly anticipated follow-up to 2009's breakout album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. The new album, which is still untitled, will be out in April.

Daniel Glass, the head of the band's label, Glassnote, made the announcement at today's Spotify event. According to Glass, who spoke to the band today, Phoenix just finished recording the album in a Paris studio.

The album comes almost four full years after Wolfgang, an album that launched Phoenix into the top levels of indie rock stardom. Their songs appeared on commercials, and they headlined festivals, even playing Madison Square Garden in 2010.
