Is Elliphant Sweden's Answer to Rihanna?

Check out her latest single, "Down on Life," and decide for yourself
 /

Never did singing about "waking up in a pile of sh-t" look and sound so pretty before. Swedish producer/singer/wunderkind Elliphant called on a couple hipster friends, a few horses and some super sexy slo-mos to make her recent electro-dancehall single "Down on Life" come alive. And in case you were wondering, yes, looking like a dejected Urban Outfitters model is still awesome.

On what sounds like a hidden track off Rihanna's Unapologetic (or some kind of secret mashup between Ri, Lykke Li and Santigold), "Down on Life" reminds us why we need to be keeping our eyes on Sweden's pop game right now--more specifically Ten.se, Elliphant's record label who's also responsible for bringing us Icona Pop and Niki & The Dove. What kind of magical glitter is in the water out there?

Elliphant's six-song EP, Eilliphant, is out now on iTunes.
