Bodyguards are ready to take a punch for their client. But, generally speaking, they'd prefer if the punch didn't actually come from the client.
Last week we reported that Moshe Benabou, one of Justin Bieber's former bodyguards, is suing The Biebs over a disagreement that allegedly led to an "abusive tirade." Now we have more details about these allegations. Benabou, who was employed by Bieber’s touring company, filed a complaint in a Los Angeles Court claiming unpaid wages and assault and battery, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The complaint states: "The tirade was apparently triggered by what Justin Bieber perceived as an attempt by Moshe Benabou to keep one member of Mr. Bieber's entourage physically away from Justin Bieber. As part of this tirade, Justin Bieber repeatedly punched Moshe Benabou in the chest and upper body area. Mr. Benabou did not retaliate or attempt to protect himself out of his concerns for Justin Bieber's physical well-being." Benabou claims he turned and walked away, at which point Bieber allegedly yelled, "You are fired!"
Benabou is also suing for unpaid overtime compensation. He claims he worked seven days a week, between 14 to 18 hours a day, and wants $421,261 in damages. We'll see how these allegations play out.
What kind of time warp?! '90s (and early 2000s) rock icons Fred Durst, Scott Weiland and Mark McGrath get photobombed by '70s icon Wayne Newton, aka Mr. Las Vegas. This should be all these guys' Christmas cards.
