New Wave Workout Playlist

Listen to music that makes it much easier to run so far away

It might seem like 1980s kitsch to some, but the truth is this: It's harder to find a genre of music more fun to listen to than New Wave. Combining the energy of punk with the incessantly catchy hooks of Top 40 pop, New Wave was the dominant mainstream and alternative genre for a spell, blaring out of every mall, tape deck, college campus and discotheque in Reagan Era America. New Wave is also one of the most energizing types of music to listen to when you're pounding the pavement, pumping iron or working the elliptical. So take a cue from A Flock of Seagulls' signature hit and start sweatin' to synths with our New Wave Workout Playlist.
