Good news for fans of weed-lovin' SoCal surf-rock outfit Wavves: A new song, plus the title, tracklist, release date and cover art for the band's follow-up to 2010's King of the Beach have arrived. The album, called Afraid of Heights, is set to arrive on March 26 with 14 tracks, including "Demon to Lean On." Listen above.

Nathan Williams described the album's theme of anxiety (possibly induced by those weed cookies album guest Jenny Lewis brought to the studio):

"The general theme of the record is depression and anxiety, being death-obsessed and paranoid of impending doom. I feel like the narration is almost schizophrenic if you listen front to back; every word is important, even the constant contradictions and lack of self-worth. That's all a part of this record-questioning everything not because I'm curious, but because I'm paranoid."

You can pre-order the LP now via iTunes or on vinyl, complete with band pins and a t-shirt, and frontman Nathan Williams' Negative Dad comics, via the band's website. Wavves take Afraid of Heights (and their other general fears and anxieties) on the road this spring. See dates below.
