Azealia Banks Reinvents the Strokes' "Barely Legal"
Although her beefs with Baauer, Perez Hilton and Angel Haze make it easy to forget, Harlem rapper Azealia Banks is actually a remarkably fresh voice on the music scene today.
Her latest track—a cover of the Strokes' "Barely Legal"—is a clear reminder of why we're talking about her in the first place. Replacing the Strokes' retro-rock with electro-house production courtesy of Lindbergh Palace, Banks puts rap on hold and sings this reinvention of the Is This It classic. Listen to it below and see what you think of her singing pipes.
In other AZ News, Banks also tweeted that her next single, "Yung Rapunxel," comes out March 26.
