Daft Punk Confound and Confirm With New Helmet Pic
Because even the slightest sense of progression of a new Daft Punk album is cause for music fans to stop everything and dig out their Alive 1997 CD, this is your obligatory quasi-sorta-kinda update on the band's first album since 2005 Human After All. The duo changed their website earlier today from the band's logo to the picture above of two helmets with the Columbia Records logo.
Does this mean we're any closer to a new album? Will their promotion rollout just be randomly dropped, cryptic clues parsed out to fans when they damn well please? Will we ever see the duo without their helmets besides this?
Last month, it was announced that the French DJs signed to Columbia after three albums with Virgin/EMI. Daft Punk have reportedly been in the studio working with producer/Chic co-founder Nile Rodgers, Oscar-winning songwriter Paul Williams and famed disco producer Giorgio Moroder and are expected to release the album, well, your guess is as good as ours.
