After cancelling the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour due to a hip injury, Lady Gaga heads in for surgery today. She tweeted:
Gaga recently took to Twitter to confirm that it was a diagnosis of synovitis (severe inflammation of the joints) that made doctors advise Gaga to call off the remaining shows. The "Marry the Night" singer also shared a photo of the wheelchair she's been rocking (and rolling), which she named "Emma." Naturally.
After surgery, Lady Gaga is prepared for "strict down time," according to a letter published on her social media site, Little Monsters.
