Patrick Carney, the drummer of The Black Keys, has transformed himself into Justin Bieber on Twitter. Yeah, you read that right: Yesterday Carney overhauled his entire Twitter profile, changing his name to "Justin Bieber" and his profile photo to one of The Biebs. Or more specifically: Changing his profile photo to one of The Biebs wearing Carney’s signature black glasses.
This is the latest salvo in what's turning into one of music's most unexpected feuds. Here's a brief recap for anyone just tuning in now: The drama began after the Grammys, when a TMZ reporter asked Carney (who took home three Grammys) for his thoughts regarding Bieber's Grammy snub.
Carney responded: "He's rich, right?" Adding "Grammys are for music, not for money. He's making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess."
Bieber quickly took to twitter to respond to Carney's off-the-cuff comment and posted: "The Black Keys drummer should be slapped around haha."
We could assume the "haha" made his entire response a lighthearted one, right? Well, Bieber's fans didn't take it that way, and they began pelting Carney with Twitter hate—which Carney has been gleefully retweeting.
And starting last night, instead of retweeting as himself, Carney began retweeting as Justin Bieber.
We're not sure how long Carney will keep up this prank, but the real Bieber, who is currently on a European tour, has yet to respond. We’ll keep you posted.

UPDATE: Carney has continued tinkering with his Twitter profile name. It has cycled through: "Justin Bieber Carney," "Pustin Bieber Carney" and "Patin Bieber Carney."
