Alabama Shakes Bring Down the House on 'SNL'

The Southern rockers perform "Hold On" & "Always Alright"

Last night Southerners Alabama Shakes turned the Saturday Night Live stage into a soulful, rock and roll lounge.

A week after their incredible Grammy performance, frontwoman and slick guitarist Brittany Howard led her band with her haunting vocals into their first set with "Hold On," the opening track off their debut album Boys & Girls. Later in the show they returned to perform the groovy "Always Alright" that really showed what Howard can do on strings. This girl doesn't mess around.
