LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 17: Actress/singer Demi Lovato arrives at "The X Factor" season finale press conference at CBS Stu
Gregg DeGuire

After months of answering questions about who she'd like to see replace exiting judge Britney Spears on The X Factor, Demi Lovato's future on the show has finally been confirmed.

The "Give Your Heart a Break" singer will be returning for a second year to Simon Cowell's singing competition, now in its third season. This makes her the only judge aside from Cowell—who created the show—to be moving forward from the last season.

Who'll be replacing Spears and music mogul L.A. Reid remains to be seen, although Lovato has already thrown her support behind Lady Gaga. But we expect given the show's so-so ratings, Fox isn't going to pony up the cash to snag her.

Our pick: Bring on Lovato's recently discovered half-sister as the new judge. Just... because.
