Prepare to Be Dazzled by the Uncanny Emma Louise's "Freedom"
Australian singer Emma Louise has a knack for turning forlorn introspection into unsettlingly beautiful music. With tracks like the uniquely rhythmic "Jungle" the Air-esque "Boy," Louise turned a few heads over the last couple years but her latest track "Freedom" indicates she has the potential to go from "yeah, she's good" to "you gotta hear this girl right now" status.
The eerily gorgeous bedroom synths and Talking Heads-esque guitar work on "Freedom" are immediately addictive. If her full length debut Vs. Head Vs. Heart (out May 21) has more of this off-kilter beauty, we might just have a new major talent on the scene.
Check her out at SXSW: She's one of our 30 Must-See Acts this year.
