Listen: fun. Cover Ellie Goulding's "Anything Could Happen"
Ellie Goulding showed her admiration for fun. last October by covering "Some Nights," the title track of the New York pop-rock trio's breakout album. Now, fun. are returning the favor with a rendition of Goulding's Halycon single "Anything Can Happen." Listen above.
fun. strip Goulding's electro-pop banger to just acoustic guitar, piano and frontman Nate Reuss' octave-jumping vocals. Gone is the original's slick, twinkling hook, which is replaced with a tinkling piano riff.
Below, watch live footage from last October of Goulding making a grand spectacle of fun's "Some Nights" with a full live band and five backup singers.
It's like a musical hug! Can you feel the pop star love?
