Gucci Mane Arrested for Alleged Assault on Soldier, Denied Bail
UPDATE (3/28): Gucci Mane was denied bond at his first court appearance and will remain behind bars for the time being, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. His next chance to get out on bail will be at his April 10 hearing.
Several days after Atlanta police issued a warrant for Gucci Mane's arrest in relation to an alleged nightclub assault, the rapper/Spring Breakers actor is behind bars, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
A Fulton County Jail spokeswoman told AJC that Mane turned himself in Tuesday night at 11:30 PM and that the Atlanta rapper will face a magistrate Wednesday morning at 11 PM.
Mane allegedly attacked a soldier in a nightclub on March 16 after the fan asked for a picture with the rapper.
“I was speaking to the security guard [about getting a picture] and Gucci Mane hit me in the head with a bottle," the man told Atlanta's Channel 2. The alleged champagne bottle assault required 10 stitches to mend.
Another fan recently came forward with a similar story, alleging Mane punched him in the face in Philadelphia two days later. But the man, who would only reveal his name as "TJ" to an Atlanta TV reporter, hasn't filed charges against Mane.
This isn't Mane's first time behind bars: the Atlanta rapper spent six months in jail back in 2011 for allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving car because she wouldn't go to a hotel with him. So, you know, that's psychotic.
