Justin Timberlake Is a "Substance Abuser" and NIN Fan—Who Knew?

Tsk, tsk, JT!
Jason LaVeris

In an interview with the new Myspace, Justin Timberlake opened up about recording The 20/20 Experience, playing SXSW and "tripping his mind out" at Coachella. Yes, ladies and gents: JT is a self-admitted "substance abuser."

When asked about the "trippy" sounds on Experience songs like "Strawberry Bubblegum" and "Blue Ocean Floor," JT explained that their only influence was "our own substance abuse while we were making [those songs]."

Drugs in the studio?! Never!

The "Suit & Tie" singer also shared his love for festivals... and the drugs he uses at them. "I’ve been to Coachella many times, on many different, um, substances. I’ve been to Coachella many times but not remembered a lot of it, I’ll leave it at that. But I remember I used to go to Coachella a long time ago... Like, I stood in an open field and one year I saw Nine Inch Nails and the next year I saw Weezer and I was standing in the middle of the field, you know, like tripping my mind out."

Surely a few moms will have some choice words for Justin given that he's a former teen idol. But to that, Justin says this.

June 23: Jack White's Really Rooting for the Home Team

Were the Cubs down or something? Jack White was spotted at last night's baseball game between the Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres looking absolutely miserable. The Cubbies pulled out a 6-0 win over San Diego last night so the White Stripe ideally should have been enjoying himself in spite of the team's current 41-57 record.
