Fall Out Boy are really mining the shock-factor for their comeback album, Save Rock and Roll. First the Chicago-bred quartet unveiled the video and remix starring 2 Chainz, then came news of a cameo from Elton John. Now Billboard reports that Rock's Queen Dirty Girl herself, Courtney Love, will appear on the April 16 release.
Wow. Just... wow.
Pete Wentz teased the collabo on Twitter, writing, "wanna guess what blonde hair singer we got on the record?" and then shot down fans' guesses of Miley Cyrus, Pink, Taylor Swift, Madonna and Sia. Later, Fall Out Boy tweeted a YouTube video (watch below) with the Hole singer/Kurt Cobain's widow snarling "It's Courtney, b-tch" with a song snippet. You could almost see the smeared makeup and dangling cigarette.
It's not FOB's only grab at rock cred; they played a rip-roaring, breakneck comeback gig at SXSW and they also want to tour with perma-wasted SoCal rockers Wavves. Are FOB all grown up and ready to rock harder than ever? All signs point to maybe. If so, Courtney's your girl.
Check out the teaser for their collabo below. Then wait in awe for the full track to drop April 16 (or hopefully sooner...)
What kind of time warp?! '90s (and early 2000s) rock icons Fred Durst, Scott Weiland and Mark McGrath get photobombed by '70s icon Wayne Newton, aka Mr. Las Vegas. This should be all these guys' Christmas cards.
