Drake Channels Destiny's Child on "Girls Love Beyonce"
Although we're still waiting to get a release date for Drake upcoming third album Nothing Was the Same, the YMCMB rapper keeps dropping killer tracks to keep us satiated. This latest one, hilariously titled "Girls Love Beyonce," is a sensual, slow-burning R&B track that finds Drake singing about "avoiding commitment" and "needing someone to leave through the front door with."
It also features James Fauntleroy—a songwriting/production partner of Justin Timberlake—singing the hook from Destiny's Child's "Say My Name," which explains the Beyonce-referencing title. It's the kind of track that's bound to make underwear drop and proves that although Drake was wrong to claim he's "the first person to successfully sing and rap," he is very adept at both. Listen above for proof.
