LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 10: (L-R) Musicians Frank Ocean, Jay-Z and The-Dream accept Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award for
Kevork Djansezian

Even though The-Dream rarely offers more than two or three sentences in response to any question, it seems the highly successful songwriter/producer may have inadvertently revealed that Jay-Z is currently working on a solo album.

In an interview with Hot 97's Angie Martinez, The-Dream told her, "Jay's coming along pretty good, [but] I don't know if I can say that yet."

"Jay's working on an album?" Martinez asked, sounding surprised. "Yeah, I think everybody knows it," The-Dream semi-confirmed before mumbling his way into oblivion.

So is this a solid indication that Jay's back in the studio? Yes. But is it confirmation that there's a solo Hova album coming our way? Based on The-Dream's clipped answer and previous comments from producer Young Guru, it certainly seems so.

But keep in mind The-Dream never said "solo" album. It is possible he's talking about Jigga heading back to the studio to work on the (more-or-less) confirmed sequel to Watch the Throne. Especially since earlier in that same interview, The-Dream chatted about recently hitting the studio with Kanye West.

Either way, it seems we got some good sh-t headed toward our ears in 2013.
