Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas marked the 10-year anniversary of Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes' death yesterday, April 29. "The word anniversary means a celebration," T-Boz said in a statement. Chilli added, "Lisa is our sister. You never get over losing a family member. We love her and we miss her and that isn't ever going to change."
It was also announced yesterday that the two remaining members of TLC will hit up Mixtape Festival alongside Train, OneRepublic and New Kids on the Block, to name a few. But that's just the beginning.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the girls are planning a major U.S. tour. And Left-Eye will be there via "image projections on a big screen." Unlike Tupac at Coachella 2012, fans won't be seeing any kind of hologram action. T-Boz and Chilli will share archival footage of Left-Eye, not newly generated digital performances.
Finally, Chilli told Essence that she and T-Boz are working on a new TLC album. "Another TLC album? Yes, that’s for sure! We’ll have new music right after the [biopic] drops. We have everybody that was there with us from the beginning on board."
TLC stop by Hershey, PA for Mixtape Festival July 26 - 27.
