Boring still doesn't know what hit it.
B.o.B, Matt and Kim, Santigold and Yung Skeeter took the stage last night in Boring, Oregon, for the brilliance uncapped concert. The task at hand? Conclude a series of interventions determined to transform the 8,000-resident town into something amazing.
It's safe to say that the mission was accomplished. The show was packed with energy, plenty of crowd interaction and most importantly...there wasn't a boring moment to be had.
B.o.B took the stage first following an introduction from hosts Damien Dante Wayans and Fuse's own Yasmine Richard. He sprinted through a set that included a healthy offering of material from his breakthrough record, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. The intimate crowd was treated to hits like "Nothin' On You" and exploded during his performance of "Airplanes."
In between sets, DJ Yung Skeeter was keeping the crowd entertained. He had the crowd to himself after B.o.B's set, and provided plenty of jams to get the crowd dancing.
Matt and Kim were up next, providing a punch of punk rock spirit during their electric performance. The indie-pop duo must have taken the #MakeBoringBrilliant mantra to heart, because they pounded through their set at breakneck speed. Kim tore up the drums - enough to get dozens of tweets from admirers watching the live stream - and even went out and crowd-surfed with a brace on her ankle! She danced with the crowd holding her up, then returned to the stage as the couple blasted their 2008 hit single, "Daylight."
The evening closed with a set from R&B songstress Santigold, who offered next-level stage antics. Her backup dancers played a huge role in bringing the songs out in the live setting, doing everything from slinging lassos to dragging her across the stage while she belted out her hits. She even brought B.o.B out for a song, which made for one of the highlights of the night.
The evening capped off vitaminwater's stay in Boring with a bang. That small town might never be the same.
