Korn Head Back to the Studio for New Album
After flirting with dubstep on their 2011 album The Path of Totality, Korn is rediscovering their heavy rock roots. Their original guitarist, Brian "Head" Welch, has joined the band again, and the rockers are currently laying down a new album in California.
Rolling Stone has exclusive footage from their studio sessions that gives fans a preview of what to expect from the new material. "Money, fame, fortune," the video begins, "Addiction, depression, separation... 8 years later... Reconciliation begins. Brian 'Head' Welch reunites with Korn to record a full album for the first time in 10 years."
Korn also reveal that the new album is coming some time this year and is produced by Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Bullet for My Valentine).
While fans wait for more word on a lead single and the album's release date, Korn is hitting the road for a world tour this summer kicking off May 15 in Belle Vernon, PA.
