Because there wasn't enough drama between the judges on this season of American Idol, Mariah Carey decided to drop Randy Jackson as her manager.

According to ShowBiz411, their competing "hectic" schedules are to blame for the rift. But given that Jackson sits at the Idol judges' table with Carey, served as her manager for the past two years and has played bass in her backing band since the '90s, it's hard to imagine what scheduling conflicts could arise.

Well, maybe Jackson can try to woo his former judging cohort Jennifer Lopez when she performs on the Idol finale next week.
