Attention Cee Lo Green fans: Dry those keys, because the former star of The Voice is returning to TV! According to the Hollywood Reporter, TBS recently green lit a six-episode series tentatively called The Cee Lo Life.
The series will follow the oddball musician as he and his Goodie Mob groupmates (Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo) work on their highly-anticipated new album, Age Against the Machine.
The group announced in April that they are slated for a June 18th release date.
"With his distinctive voice, winning personality and remarkable ability to tap into a wide range of musical styles, Cee Lo Green has risen to the top of the music industry," Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TBS said.
"This new TBS series will give viewers the chance to get to know Cee Lo Green, who is without a doubt one of the hardest working men in show business. The Cee Lo Life is certain to be a smart, fun and funny journey packed with a lot of great music."
In a January interview on the Goodie Mob reunion, the R&B crooner told Fuse:
"I think that we've grown a great deal in the last 10 years. There's a lot more to consider. There's a broader audience and a greater aspiration to reach as many people as we can; To be as relatable and to be as real, relevant and resourceful as we can. Age Against the Machine is symbolic of wisdom being a weapon of choice."
Hopefully Green hasn't grown up too much; what would a Cee Lo reality show be without plenty of delightful, childish antics?!
What kind of time warp?! '90s (and early 2000s) rock icons Fred Durst, Scott Weiland and Mark McGrath get photobombed by '70s icon Wayne Newton, aka Mr. Las Vegas. This should be all these guys' Christmas cards.
