Less than 24 hours after Mariah Carey announced her exit from American Idol to prepare for a world tour, fellow judge Nicki Minaj will also leave the show to refocus on her music.

Last night (May 30), the emcee wrote a message on Twitter thanking Idol for the experience.

The rapping pop star also retweeted a fan message that included the hashtag "#IdolGoodbye."

Fox released a statement confirming her departure: "Nicki Minaj is a superstar who brought a level of honesty and passion to American Idol. Given her extremely busy career, we understand and respect her decision and wish her the best."

Keith Urban is the only judge still on the panel. But with his new album Fuse slated for a September 10 release, it wouldn't be surprising to hear that he's also now focusing on his career.
