The Best Cover of Grimes' "Oblivion" You'll Ever Hear
Indie singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield earned loads of critical acclaim earlier this year with Cerulean Salt, her second album under the name Waxahatchee. Her streak continues above, as the singer teams up with her sister Allison for a jangle-punk cover of Grimes' synth pop anthem "Oblivion."
Recorded as a "theme song" for Rookie Magazine for May, the duo ratchet up a song you're hopefully already in love with, adding ringing guitars and replacing drum machines with primal, live drumming. We are playing it now while writing this and feeling very happy. Join us.
