Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's Bosnian Rainbows Release New Track
The Mars Volta co-founder Omar Rodriguez-Lopez hasn't exactly been kicking back and doing nothing since his seminal prog-metal band broke up. His latest project, Bosnian Rainbows, is his poppiest to date.
But given Rodriguez-Lopez's glorious weirdness and need to innovate, the group's latest track "Morning Sickness" is more chillwave a la Toro y Moi and Washed Out than saccharine Top 40 hit. Rodriguez-Lopez infuses the alt-pop track with his signature noodling guitar style, but dials back to let frontwoman Teri Gender Bender play the role of the lovesick chanteuse. Listen above.
