Thanks in no small part to sonic mastermind Miguel and torchbearer John Legend, neo-soul is coming back in a big way.

UK singer-songwriter Daley is the latest soul vocalist to watch. This 23-year-old crafts introspective but confident R&B that's emotionally honest without veering into melodrama, which is always welcome.

He's currently working on his debut album Days & Nights with Pharrell and Damon Albarn, which has yet to get a release date. In the meantime, he's dropped "Songs That Remind Me of You," an atmospheric, slow-burning jam with some retro guitar licks in the background. As you'd expect, it's about those songs that remained tied to a lost lover in your heart, the kind that can't help but break you a little when they come on the radio.

Much like Miguel—who he's opened for and is understandably likened to—Daley is building anticipation for the release of his album by giving away a free EP, which this track is taken from. Hey, it worked for Miguel—his Art Dealer Chic EPs helped propel sales of Kaleidoscope Dream into the stratosphere after his debut bombed.
