Jay-Z & Beyoncé Call Perfect Love Stories "Cliché" on 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' Collab
In Jay-Z and Beyonce's debut collaboration, "'03 Bonnie & Clyde," the hip hop mogul spits, "All I need in this life of sin / Is me and my girlfriend" as the Destiny's Child frontwoman responds, "Down to ride til the very end / It's me and my boyfriend."
Now, according to the lyrics of "Part II (On the Run)," their new duet for Jay's upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail, the Knowles-Carters are back at it.
"Who wants that perfect love story anyway?" opens the track with lyrics about getting matching tattoos, "bumping Tupac" and making love with police sirens blaring. The Pac mention could indicate that "Part II" is actually the next chapter to the "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" single as that song samples the late rapper's '96 song "Me and My Girlfriend."
