John Legend is going experimental on "Made to Love," a track from his upcoming album Love in the Future, out September 3. The just-released song combines clanging tribal drums, soaring keys, funk guitar, echo vocal effects, a soulful female backup singer and even clap sections. It's beautiful chaos.
Kanye is helping Legend with the new LP, and the track recalls the epic sounds of 'Ye's 808s and Heartbreak and the arty aggression of his latest release, Yeezus. It's certainly far from "Who Do We Think We Are," the Rick Ross-featuring lead single from Love in the Future. Hey, variety is very good thing.
