The beef is ova.
Just days after appearing on Hot 97 to offer a backhanded apology for pulling out of last year's hip hop fest, Nicki Minaj popped up at Summer Jam XX during 2 Chainz' set and officially ended her yearlong feud with the New York radio station.
Rolling out onstage with her best "imma freak you out" eyes, Minaj joined the Georgia MC for her verse on his "I Luv Dem Strippers" track and the audience erupted with equal parts applause and cries of "oh sh-t!"
Perhaps still smarting from DJ Peter Rosenberg's diss last year that "Starships" was for pop lovers instead of not real hip hop fans, Minaj spit her verse with unrelenting ferocity. She also asked ladies in the audience to "slap yo p-ssy if it's clean" and then demonstrated what she meant. You know, just in case there was any confusion.
After delivering a few lines from "Beez in the Trap," Minaj waltzed over to former feuding partner Rosenberg and gave his a very public, very awkward hug before exiting the stage. Because even if she still hates him, it's worth the headlines to make nice onstage for 10 seconds.
P.S. 2 Chainz revealed he has a new album dropping September 10. No BS, that's a T.R.U. Story.
What kind of time warp?! '90s (and early 2000s) rock icons Fred Durst, Scott Weiland and Mark McGrath get photobombed by '70s icon Wayne Newton, aka Mr. Las Vegas. This should be all these guys' Christmas cards.
