While Kanye West, J. Cole and Mac Miller compete for highest first-week sales of their new albums, up-and-coming rapper Travi$ Scott just dropped the craziest, sickest hip hop video in a minute with his "Upper Echelon" clip.

Even more impressive? Scott directed it himself.

The 21-year-old Houston rapper joins forces with 2 Chainz and T.I. (he's on Tip's Grand Hustle imprint) for this ominous, hard-hitting banger. "Upper Echelon" occupies a space in between a party and a nightmare and the video emphasizes that. Set in a remote cabin in the fog-covered woods, this looks more like the setting of The Evil Dead than your usual rap party video.

Not that people aren't throwing down. Teenagers and grey-haired grandmas pull whiskey swigs while 2 Chainz raps around a bonfire and Scott rides around a tractor in a pin-striped suit. By the end of the video, when two little people carry a rowboat to the water for Scott to quietly drift away in, you feel like you're watching something directed by David Lynch.
