Beck is on a roll. After a years-long hiatus of sorts from releasing albums, dude is now back in full force. He dropped the sheet music book Beck Hansen's Song Reader, and is planning to drop two upcoming LPs: one of all acoustic tunes and another that's pegged as the proper follow-up to 2008's Modern Guilt. Plus, he's been releasing tracks left and right, like the dreamy 12" single "It Won't Be Long."
He's on tour this summer debuting new tracks, and played at Paris' Days Off Festival Tuesday night, when he covered two songs at once, incorporating T. Rex's '70s boogie-rock gem "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" and Michael Jackson's pop masterwork "Billie Jean" into a jam, before dropping into his own Guero track "Scarecrow." Now that's skill. Watch above.
Beck debuts his Song Reader album live tonight in London, then heads stateside for a round of festival and solo gigs. Check out the itinerary here.
