It's hard out there for Kanye West these days. And by out there, we mean everywhere outside the confines of his home. Yesterday, after being relentlessly chided by a cameraman with the sensibilities of a 13-year-old boy, 'Ye got irritated and tried to wrestle the man's camera away. You can see the entire (scandalous!) encounter here.
Although the man appeared to be fine after the scuffle in the video of the encounter, paramedics were called and now, according to the Los Angeles Times, the LAPD is investigating West for battery.
Kanye West has not had the best time of late dealing with the ever-increasing paparazzi presence in his life. In May, he was caught on camera walking straight into a sign trying to avoid them.
And just a week ago he went off on a persistent pap saying, "Don't talk to me at all and don't talk to anyone I know at all, and tell everybody, never talk to anyone that anyone knows. Don't talk to themselves, don't talk ever again."
It was clear from that encounter (if you haven't seen it yet, check it out here) that Yeezy was reaching his limit. And apparently his limit was a bazillion flashing cameras and one particularly aggressive paparazzo yelling "C'mon Kanye, be cool, man. Why can't I talk to you…C'mon Kanye, I don't wanna fight with you."
After the verbal onslaught, West walked up to the pap and said, "What you're trying to do is get me in trouble, so I step out and have to pay you too much attention." The man continued and that's when 'Ye attempted to grab the camera from his hands. Another paparazzo can be heard yelling at West to "stop it," so Kanye let him go, put up his hands and left in his car.
Basically the cafeteria equivalent of the jock making fun of your mother and jabbing you in the side with a football until you finally snap.
