Chris Brown Declares Album 'X' "Probably" His Last
Chris Brown's sixth album, X, is due out August 20, and the R&B singer recently took to Twitter to announce that it might be his last. A moment of silence for you in this sensitive time, Team Breezy...
And we're back.
Chris tweeted, "Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album." He continued, "Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!" The mistake we assume he's referring to is, of course, his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna. But he's cool and over it, you guys!
Another thing Chris Brown is over: Jail. Who needs it? Not him, apparently.
According to online records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Chris turned himself in to the Van Nuys jail Monday afternoon in connection with his hit-and-run case earlier this year. Chris checked in at 2:40 pm and was released with no bail at 3:22 pm. That's 42 solid minutes in jail, for all you math whizzes out there.
Last month, a judge revoked Chris' probation from his 2009 assault in connection with the hit-and-run. He is free pending an August 19 hearing on the probation, but will face up to four years in jail if he is found in violation. Or in celebrity terms, he will face up to three hours.
