It seems that when Jack White and Karen Elson threw a "divorce party" in 2011 to celebrate their mutual falling out, it was just too cute to be true.

The rocker's estranged wife recently served him with a restraining order, according to Nashville’s City Paper.

"[Elson] fears for her and the children’s safety as a result of [his] harassment," the restraining order claims. According to the court papers, Elson alleges White has been sending her a barrage of ill-tempered emails and phone calls "pressuring her about the settlement terms for divorce."

Elson—who primarily cares for the couple's two children—cited additional examples of troubling behavior. In one example, Elson said White wanted her to remove their kids from a learning environment because one of their classmates was the child of a musician White believes "ripped off" his style.

The Nashville paper reported Elson’s attorney said "both sides have been working to settle the dispute privately" and "had no further comment."

Both are due in court on August 29 in the ongoing legal dispute over their children.
