Kendrick Lamar brought some half-friendly competition back to hip hop earlier this week when he declared his intention to creatively "murder" Drake, A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, Mac Miller, Wale, Big K.R.I.T. and other MCs despite having "love for [them] all."

Twitter exploded as people debated whether he was out of line or doing good for hip hop with his boast, but one thing was clear: In terms of pure talent, Kendrick is on top of the game in 2013 and he knows it. Sure, Drake is bigger and A$AP has more swagger, but they can't compete with him on the mic.

While other rappers have taken the diss in stride—Mac Miller joked about it and Big K.R.I.T. said "thanks for the promotion"—there's at least one MC on that list who doesn't believe the hype. While being interviewed/stalked by TMZ, MMG spitter Wale said he "would have been offended if my name wasn't on that sh-t."

Why? Well, because Wale is the best rapper in the game right now, which is self-evident if you are Wale. "I still feel like I'm the best rapper on the planet," the D.C. rapper said matter-of-factly. "And you should, too."

One thing is for certain: If his mom watches this video, she will definitely agree with him.
