The Walkmen Singer Recruits Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes for Solo LP
After 13 years and seven studio albums with Philadelphia-born, New York City-based indie rockers the Walkmen, frontman Hamilton Leithauser is prepping his solo debut for a spring 2014 release, Pitchfork reports. And he's recruited an all-star cast of collaborators to help out.
Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, Richard Swift (the Shins, solo artist), the Walkmen's Paul Maroon and Fleet Foxes/Cave Singers' Morgen Henderson (formerly of the Seattle's Blood Brothers) are all currently at work on the untitled LP in Los Angeles' Vox Studios.
