Fuse Favorite: Watch Bonnie McKee on Fuse All Week

Some might think Bonnie McKee's catchy summer smash "American Girl" (above) is the California native's first hit song. But they'd be wrong. Very, very wrong.

Bonnie is the songwriter extraordinaire behind some of the most ubiquitous No. 1s of the past decade. To name a few: Katy Perry's "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Last Friday Night," and most recently, "Roar." Also, Rita Ora's "How We Do (Party)," Britney Spears' "Hold It Against Me" and Taio Cruz's "Dynamite." Bonnie recently performed a medley of almost all of these songs, and we've only listened to it, oh, 200 times.

Now it's Bonnie's turn in the limelight. And her inspiration to perform all started with Tina Turner. Bonnie told Fuse when she saw a Tina concert on TV as a little girl, she was so excited that she cried! "I was like, 'I want this feeling for other people. I want to be on stage making other people cry and making people jump out of their seats.'"

Check out more with Bonnie McKee in our interview below, and tune in to Fuse all week to see more.
