Well, looks like Jimmy Kimmel and Kanye West weren't pulling some elaborate cross-platform prank when West unleashed a string of ALL-CAPS INSULTS aimed at the notorious prankster/talk show host.

During his monologue Thursday night, Kimmel revealed that West called him earlier that night, screaming at him and demanding a public apology after Kimmel aired an innocent spoof of the rapper's insta-classic BBC interview.

"He called me and told me I had two choices: Number one, apologize publicly," Kimmel said. "And that was really the only choice."

Kimmel said that West told him, "I am the most powerful voice in media. I am 'Pac. You will never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old's high school football game and be cool again." And with one threat, the most amazing meme ever is born.

"I don't understand it," Kimmel continued. "The bit was pretty innocuous. But finally, I'm in a rap feud."

Please let this be real and go on forever.
