When iTunes Radio launched today, the new music-streaming service came out of the gate strong, boasting several online radio stations featuring guest DJ sets from artists such as Katy Perry, Diplo and Jared Leto. And during the "Roar" singer's between-song banter, DJ Perry offered some kiss-and-tell details on her snogging sessions with boyfriend John Mayer while introducing Drake's "Hold On, We're Going Home."
Perry said the synth-y '80s ballad reminds her of songs from Lionel Richie and the Weeknd, i.e. makeout jams. "Drake is so sensitive but yet still so cool. It's a hard balance to find: Emotional guys who are sensitive but strong," Perry raved. "I listen to it with my boyfriend, so I suggest listening to it with whoever you wanna make out with." TMI? Nah. Especially when you consider that we already know Mariah Carey likes to make love to the music of Mariah Carey.
Elsewhere during her DJ set—which included tracks from HAIM, Icona Pop, Iggy Azalea and former tour-mate Robyn—Perry said Major Lazer's "Bubble Butt" ft. Bruno Mars, Tyga & 2 Chainz is her dancefloor jam of the moment. "We all have that one song which after a couple drinks, you can't help but shake it. That song for me is 'Bubble Butt.'"
