Psych-Rockers Black Angels on 'Grand Theft Auto' Song, "Black Grease"

Fuse caught up with Austin, Texas' own psych-rock vets The Black Angels backstage at Austin City Limits Festival to discuss their contribution to the new super-selling video game Grand Theft Auto V. GTA gamers can tune into Vinewood Boulevard Radio to hear the Angels' new track "Black Grease."

The band realize the gravity of having their song in a game that topped $1 billion in sales only three days after its release, easily setting a new record for the entertainment industry.

"In real life if our song was on the radio, it'd be like, 'Ok, I guess that's alright,'" says frontman Alex Maas. Guitarist Christian Bland adds, "It's cool because we both grew up with that game. So changing the radio in the car [to our song] is pretty awesome. It's fun to play."

Watch the full interview above for more from the Black Angels, including their stance on new track "Don't Play With Guns" and American gun control: "I don't think that the guns are the problem, honestly," says Maas. "I think there are a lot bigger issues... it's the people... it's education."
