Nearly a year after Ellen DeGeneres surrounded Miley Cyrus by buff male strippers for an on-air bachelorette party, the former Disney star stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show once more to discuss her split with former fiancé Liam Hemsworth. And although she didn't delve into what ended their engagement, she did thank the public for paying more attention to her music than her romantic life.

"I've been really impressed," Cyrus said. "I felt like people have really focused on my music right now when I've needed them to. That's the only thing I worried about—I didn't want it to make me sacrifice what I've been working for, for just the attention to be on that."

After thanking fans for not fixating on her breakup, Miley addressed the split by admitting Bangerz is very much about her hot-then-cold relationship to Hemsworth. "I didn’t even know until listening to it now," Cyrus told Ellen. "Now that I have a physical copy and put it in my car, [I hear the album is] really telling a story. I think I knew more intuitively where my life was going [while recording] than I knew at the time."

As for the strippers Ellen sent her way last fall, Cyrus offered this regret: "I should have kept one of those dude's numbers."
