For those naysayers who think true love can't last in a celebrity marriage, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger are ready to prove them wrong. In a heartwarming interview with People magazine, the Chavril offered their secret to a successful marriage: Don't get drunk when you're apart. Ever. That's the Canadian rock star way to avoid those cheatin' urges.

"We don't drink when we're apart. Ever. Even if we're apart for weeks," the Nickelback frontman said, adding they also avoid nightclubs. "We don't want to go anywhere that you're asking for trouble… This way we don't have to worry about any of that stuff."

"We want to protect what we have," Avril "Here's to Never Growing Up" Lavigne explained.

Fortunately for their partying proclivities, they're never apart for too long as they make a point to travel together on tours. "We don't spend more than two weeks apart," Lavigne said.

In other words, Chavril are officially capable of two weeks sobriety.
