In April, French electronic darlings M83 released their first movie soundtrack for the sci-fi blockbuster Oblivionand it sounded predictably epic. The indie act has now scored a second soundtrack this year with the French film You and the Night, which is about "a young couple and their transvestite maid preparing for an orgy," according to IMDB. Sounds sexy, right? Bow-chicka-bow-wow.

Not quite. The first taste of the soundtrack, "Ali & Matthias," features soaring string orchestration with a chorus of hushed female voices rising into ghost-like wailing. It's creepy and gorgeous all at the same time.

M83 wrote on their SoundCloud page that "the soundtrack pays tribute to French soundtracks from the '70s and is much more intimate than [2012 LP] Hurry Up, We're Dreaming and the Oblivion soundtrack. This score is really for lovers and ghosts."

You and the Night will be available digitally November 19 (the film will be released in France November 13). Hear more of the soundtrack in the movie's NSFW-ish trailer right here.
