Looks like everything's still coming up Miley Cyrus: the "Wrecking Ball" singer is officially set to perform at the New Year's Eve ball drop in Times Square.

Cyrus took to Twitter to share the big news with fans (and thus the rest of the world).

In case you are calling into question Miley's commitment to the truth, the eerily-ubiquitous Ryan Seacret, (yep, he's co-hosting again) confirmed the plans on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"We just added Miley Cyrus to be in Times Square right before the ball drops," he said, adding that she met all the pre-reqs: "We try to look for the artist that's created a lot of buzz and had a really big year."

The reformed child star is an obvious choice, of course, when it comes to buzz.

But we have a humble suggestion that will most assuredly help buzz this year's ball droppin' shindig into outer space:

Call up Big Freedia and add her to the line-up, STAT. She's been begging to school Miley in a twerk-off and such an event will most assuredly spell Sound of Music level ratings.

And, as a bonus, Miley Cyrus may actually learn how to twerk!
