Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Razor & Tie
Location: Sioux City, IA
Years Active: 2005-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2012)

This quintet is well known for its tendencies to incorporate Christian themes into their aggressive metalcore sylings, and already have one year of Warped Tour experience under their collective belts. They played the entire tour in 2012 and look to be drawing huge crowds in 2014 as they support a new release.

That new record, Fight The Silence, is For Today's fifth LP and will be out on February 4th via Razor & Tie. The title track and first single is streaming above.

Stray From The Path

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore / Hardcore
Record Label: Sumerian
Location: Long Island, NY
Years Active: 2001-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

The Long Island quintet will be making its first appearance on the Warped Tour in 2014, a surprising note considering they just released their seventh full-length album this year. Anonymous, the band's fourth release for standout metal label Sumerian Records, dropped in September and debuted at No. 40 on the Billboard Charts.

Stream "False Flag," the opening track from that album, above.

Stat Sheet

Genre: Pop-punk
Record Label: No Sleep
Location: Cincinnati, OH
Years Active: 2010-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2013, partial appearance)

With dual male and female vocals highlighting its poppy-leaning pop-punk, Mixtapes developed a pretty good fanbase for itself while releasing a series of EPs and splits across a few different record labels in its first couple of years together. The band signed to No Sleep Records to release its proper debut LP, Even On The Worst Nights, in 2012.

That was quickly followed up by another full-length, Ordinary Silence, in June 2013. The band's rapid output of music and never-ending tour schedule has brought about droves of attention – watch their music video for "Bad Parts" above.

Air Dubai

5 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Hip Hop / R&B / Pop
Record Label: Hopeless
Location: Denver, CO
Years Active: 2008-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

Another first-time Warped Tour group, Air Dubai is known best in its hometown of Denver for blending a variety of genres into one smooth final product. The hip-hop is present foremost in the sextet's latest single, "Soul & Body" – check out the music video for that track above – but there are plenty of pop, R&B and soul traces on the band's Warning EP as well.

They only signed to Hopeless Records in 2012, which caused the band to hold off on releasing its forthcoming full-length, Be Calm. The Warning EP came out in May instead as a teaser for Be Calm, which should drop before Warped Tour begins this summer. Also, they've covered Britney Spears.

Teenage Bottlerocket

Stat Sheet

Genre: Punk Rock
Record Label: Fat Wreck
Location: Laramie, WY
Years Active: 2001-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

Laramie, WY is not really that well known for its punk scene, recently being named one of the best cities in the country for retirement by Money Magazine. But Teenage Bottlerocket doesn't really care about that, and they choose to play loud and fast pop-punk in the vein of Screeching Weasels and The Vandals.

The group's most recent release is the American Deutsch Bag 7", which carries a short but sweet three-song tracklisting and dropped on Nov. 26, 2013 via Fat Wreck Chords. That EP came after the group's acclaimed full-length Freak Out!, which you can sample above by streaming one of its singles, "Headbanger."

Record Label: Fearless
Location: Tallahassee, FL
Years Active: 2005-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 4 (2007, 2008, 2010, 2012)

Now Warped Tour veterans, Mayday Parade has been a constant presence on the pop-punk circuit since its breakout LP, A Lesson In Romantics, dropped in 2007. That record kickstarted a successful career, and the band most recently put out a fourth studio LP called Monsters In the Closet

Monsters provided the Tallahassee quintet's most prolific debut week, showing at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 30,000 units. The band's fanbase has expanded over time and their fifth year on Warped should prove to be a highly anticipated one for fans.

The Protomen

9 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Indie rock / rock opera
Record Label: Sound Machine
Location: Nashville, TN
Years Active: 2003-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

One of the most left-field additions to the Warped Tour lineup this year, The Protomen are a part-time band with musicians (nine of them!) who use stage names and write concept records based on the 1980s video game series Mega Man. There are a lot of elements in play with their music – lots of rock opera influences, '80s rock tidbits and an indie spirit.

We would go into more detail, but they are quite fascinating and a couple small paragraphs wouldn't do the band justice. Check out the song above and read more on their Wikipedia page

Tear Out the Heart

10 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Victory
Location: Saint Louis, MO
Years Active: 2011-present
Previous Warped Tour appearances: None

If you're an Attack Attack! fan, you'll like Tear Out the Heart – their Victory Records debut, Violence, was produced by former A!A! frontman Caleb Shomo and the track above features Shomo on vocals.

They haven't been around long, so there's not much to say yet, but Violence is generating a pretty fair amount of buzz in the metalcore subculture. They're a great band for fans of the genre to fill into slots during Warped schedules when other more anticipated bands aren't playing.

Plague Vendor

Seemingly a relatively unknown punk band out of Los Angeles, Plague Vendor plays a dancey, lo-fi style of old-school punk. Their most recent release is an EP called Free To Eat.

Saves The Day

12 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Emo / pop-punk
Record Label: Equal Vision
Location: Princeton, NJ
Years Active: 1998-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2006)

Saves The Day is one of the most celebrated bands in the lineage of emo and pop-punk. Their 1999 breakthrough LP, Through Being Cool, has been a gateway record for countless young music listeners and their most recent release, 2013's self-titled full-length, is the pioneering band's eighth studio album.

Nothing short of a monumentally critical group in this scene, it's amazing that frontman Chris Conley has only ever played one year on the Warped Tour with Saves The Day. We're not going to gripe about that now – instead, we'll just get excited to see them this summer.

The Ghost Inside

13 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Epitaph
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Years Active: 2004-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2012)

Although the band has been around for almost a decade (they were known as A Dying Dream early on), 2012's Get What You Give is only The Ghost Inside's third full-length album. It also served as a breakthrough for the California melodic metalcore act – they've toured more vigorously than ever before since its release.

Stat Sheet

Genre: Post-hardcore / metalcore
Record Label: Tragic Hero
Location: Lodi, CA
Years Active: 2005-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 2 (2009, 2011)

This California quintet suffered a significant lineup change when lead guitarist Joey Wilson departed the group in 2012, but reached a new high with its fourth album, Rise. They jumped back to Tragic Hero Records – which released the band's debut EP, Wires...and The Concept of Breathing, in 2007 – and captured their highest first-week album sales so far.

I The Mighty

Stat Sheet

Genre: Progressive / indie
Record Label: Equal Vision
Location: San Francisco, CA
Years Active: 2008-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

Spastic and experimental, it's hard to predict what a new I The Mighty release will sound like. But the group's debut full-length, Satori, was well-received critically and the San Francisco four-piece seems to have a promising future ahead of it.

Perhaps most celebrated for its technical guitar work and high-energy live show, the band will provide an eye-opening experience for Warped Tour attendees who catch them this year.

Beartooth

16 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Red Bull
Location: Columbus, OH
Years Active: 2012-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

Beartooth actually has one Warped Tour appearance – they played a single date on the 2013 installment of the tour – but don't let that fool you. Led by former Attack! Attack! frontman Caleb Shomo, the Ohio metalcore group has plenty of Warped experience (AA! played three years in a row between 2009-11).

Shomo's name recognition drew plenty of eyes and ears to Beartooth, which signed with Red Bull Records and released a new EP, Sick, this year. They'll have a debut full-length out before Warped 2014 rolls around – and probably blow up in popularity – so expect kids to flock toward whatever stage this band is playing on at every date.

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Roadrunner
Location: Dayton, OH
Years Active: 2005-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 3 (2008, 2009, 2011)

Five studio albums deep into its career, The Devil Wears Prada has already lasted much longer than most metalcore bands do these days. The group has jumped around between record labels a few times, but has always found success in its releases – the band's most recent LP, 8:18, debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Dayton, OH-based quintet are Warped veterans and they'll show off their experience by playing to some of the largest crowds each day throughout the summer on the main stage.

The Color Morale

18 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Rise
Location: Rockford, IL
Years Active: 2005-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

Part of Rise Records' small army of metalcore bands, The Color Morale had some problems early in their career trying to stick out of the pack. Then they released Know Hope in March of 2013, featuring a new, throatier screaming style from vocalist Garret Rapp, and the band found itself at No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and out on the road supporting bands like Alesana and We Came As Romans.

The band's first year on the Warped Tour should be an anticipated one by many fans of the genre.

Jordan Witzigreuter – better known as The Ready Set – hasn't released a full-length album since 2011, but kept fans anxiously awaiting a new LP with the release of several singles and a new EP called I'll Be Waiting throughout 2013. The act's new full-length is due out in early 2014, and hitting the Warped Tour is the perfect way for Witzigreuter to support the album.

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore / Pop-punk
Record Label: Fearless
Location: Paris, France
Years Active: 2007-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2012)

Paul Wilson, rhythm guitarist for Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, once described himself and his bandmates as "kind of bipolar," and that personality is evident in their music. While the group is defined by its pop-punk backbone on their 2013 sophomore album, Pardon My French, there are hardcore and metalcore stylings present at the forefront as well. The combination works well for the Parisians – the LP peaked at No. 72 on the Billboard 200.

Genre: Dubstep
Record Label: Unsigned
Location: San Jose, CA
Years Active: 2009-present

NiT GriT, the one-man dubstep project of producer Danny Beall, is an interesting addition for Warped Tour. The tour started to highlight electronic artists last year with the new Spotify Stage, and NiT GriT is one of the first lineup additions that suggests that stage will return again in 2014. Beall isn't on a record label currently, and his music is available for free download on his website.

Enter Shikari

Stat Sheet

Genre: Post-Hardcore
Record Label: Hopeless
Location: St. Albans, Hertfordshire, UK
Years Active: 2003-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 2 (2010, 2011)

These Englishmen first made a splash in the United States with the viral strength of singles like "Sorry You're Not A Winner" from their 2007 debut LP, Take To the Skies. Since then, the group has only shot up in popularity – they signed to major American indie label Hopeless Records for the 2013 release of their third full-length, A Flash Flood of Colour, which debuted at No. 67 in the Billboard 200. Enter Shikari is already huge in the UK, serving as one of the headliners for Warped's 2013 European tour, and the band is being well-rewarded now with a slot on the main stage this summer.

Stat Sheet

Genre: Alternative Rock
Record Label: Big3 Records
Location: Winter Haven, FL
Years Active: 2002-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 2 (2007, 2008)

Anberlin has built its career on consistency. The alt-rock quintet has never gone more than two years without releasing a full-length album since 2003, and has garnered extensive critical acclaim throughout its career. Never Take Friendship Personal, Cities and New Surrender are regarded by many as must-listen records from mid-2000s alt-rock, and the New Surrender's lead single, "Feel Good Drag," made a huge splash for the band on rock radio. The group are two-time Warped veterans and provide a huge addition to the lineup.

Issues

24 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Rise
Location: Atlanta / Los Angeles
Years Active: 2012-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2013)

Issues manages to stand out in metalcore's crowded genre by infusing a major electronic influence – many of their songs, like the above "Stingray Affliction," prominently feature a DJ scratching. The group is made up mainly of former members of fellow Warped heavyhitters Woe, Is Me, with clean vocalist Tyler Carter adding a R&B stylings to the band's sound. The way Issues mashes up genres has brought them overnight success; they'll be a major draw on Warped Tour while supporting their debut self-titled LP, which is out February 18.

Cute Is What We Aim

25 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Pop-rock
Record Label: Currently unsigned, formerly Fueled By Ramen
Location: Buffalo, NY
Years Active: 2005-2009, 2012-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2007)

Talk about a blast from the past. Cute Is What We Aim For saw success as part of Fueled By Ramen's dominance of the mid-2000s pop-punk scene, releasing two Billboard-charting albums (2006's The Same Old Blood Rush With A New Touch and 2008's Rotation) and having a huge single in "The Curse of Curves." The group was plagued by lineup changes for much of its career, with frontman Shaant Hacikyan departing the band for a solo career in 2009. The band was on-again, off-again for several years before reuniting in 2011, and has released a couple of singles – but they don't currently have a record deal and their long-rumored comeback EP, Real Eyes, has no set release date. With the band being announced for Warped 2014, fans should probably expect that EP before June.

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Epitaph
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Years Active: 2010-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: None

Controversial as this band may be, they're here because metalcore is proving to reign king on Warped Tour's 2014 lineup. It's the most popular genre amongst Warped's fanbase and Survive This!'s 2013 album, The Life You've Chosen, was a hit last year.

Crown The Empire

Stat Sheet

Genre: Metalcore
Record Label: Rise
Location: Dallas, TX
Years Active: 2010-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2013)

This metalcore sextet has only released one full-length – 2012's The Fallout, via Rise Records – but has top billing among the bands announced this week. If that seems like a surprise to you, look no further than the huge splash that record made: Its lead single "Memories of A Broken Heart" caught on very quickly, and the band has been able to tour a ton on the album. They're heading out with Asking Alexandria this spring, so Warped fans will be even more closely familiar with the group this summer.

Genre: Pop
Record Label: Action Theory
Location: Tempe, AZ
Years Active: 2007-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 3 (2007, 2008, 2009)

The Maine's days on a major label are long gone, but the band has reinvented itself since going independent. The late 2000s saw the Arizona quintet rise to quick popularity on the strength of their Can't Stop, Won't Stop LP via Fearless, but then jumped to Warner Bros. Records and experienced creative differences with the label while recording their sophomore LP, Black and White. The band has since released Pioneer and Forever Halloween on their own terms, and continue to support the latter with big tours (they most recently went out with fellow Warped 2014 band Anberlin in the fall).

Having already hit the road with metal heavyweight The Devil Wears Prada and Of Mice & Men, Volumes seems set to make a bigger impact in 2014. Record Label: Pure Noise

State Champs' debut full-length, The Finer Things, takes a page from The Story So Far's handbook, but does so in a bigger-sounding way. The production on the pop-punk band's new LP is enormous and it highlights frontman Derek Discanio's soaring vocals. The group is hitting the road with We Are The In Crowd this spring and their Warped summer should be spent with plenty of crowd-surfers.

Less Than Jake

31 / 61

Stat Sheet

Genre: Ska-punk
Record Label: Fat Wreck / Sleep It Off
Location: Gainesville, FL
Years Active: 1992-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: SEVEN! (1997, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2006, 2009, 2011)

Less Than Jake is still fresh off the November release of their ninth studio full-length, See The Light, and a cross-country tour with fellow punk veterans Anti-Flag. But this band hasn't slowed down in its 21 years of existence, and they aren't slowing down now, announcing an eighth appearance on the Warped Tour for 2014. Kevin Lyman says that LTJ is one of his long-time favorites, and that's obvious enough as the group first played Warped in 1997. Now standing as one of the longest-running punk bands around, Less Than Jake is able to continue appealing to Warped-goers because of their boundless onstage energy and high-powered, horn-infused pop-punk. Watching a Less Than Jake set is truly one of the best things you can do when it's 100 degrees outside.

Stat Sheet

Genre: Deathcore
Record Label: Artery
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Years Active: 2007-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2012)

One of the most aggressive metal bands on this year's lineup, Chelsea Grin spent most of 2013 on the road supporting 2012's Evolve EP. That EP was released right before a full run on the 2012 Warped Tour, and this time around the band will be supporting a new full-length called Ashes To Ashes. The group has said that the new album will have more positive lyrics than its past music and released a single called "Letters," which you can stream above.

Genre: Funk rock / R&B
Record Label: Bad Records
Location: Boston, MA
Years Active: 2007-present
Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1(2011)

Bad Rabbits was one of the biggest surprises of 2011, using Warped Tour as a platform to introduce itself to plenty of new listeners refreshed by the group's funky fusion of rock and R&B. The band made new fans easily and released its anticipated debut LP, American Love, in 2013. A follow-up to that record, called American Dream, is rumored but has no concrete release date – maybe we should expect it to drop before the Boston quintet gears up for another summer-long Warped stint.

Two quick LPs in 2012 and 2013 put Secrets on the metalcore map, and the band is now gearing up for what will probably be a grueling full year of touring the world in 2014. This year's Warped Tour will be the first full summer on the road for the San Diego act – they only did two weeks on the Kevin Says stage last year.

Genre: Melodic hardcore
Record Label: Pure Noise

To The Wind is facing its biggest year to date in 2014, supporting the May 2013 release of its debut LP, Empty Eyes. The act has great potential to follow in the footsteps of current melodic hardcore favorites like The Ghost Inside or Stick To Your Guns, and Warped Tour provides the perfect place to shine.

Genre: Nerdcore rap

MC Chris isn't a fan of the "nerdcore rapper" label, but he's one of the acts most closely associated with the subgenre. This makes him a nice add-on for Warped Tour, further diversifying the lineup and bringing on a fun act with a history on Warped and plenty of material to work with in a hip-hop / comedy fusion set.

Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke is one of the most polarizing figures in the Warped Tour scene – but with a polarizing personality comes a group of diehard fans. And this band has a lot of them. Material from their 2013 full-length, Fashionably Late, will provide the bulk of their set.

While plenty experienced on the road and with musical output – they've got five LPs under their belt, most recently 2013's Live By The Code – Terror has never made its way over to Warped Tour. Despite this, they're sure to make an impact on new listeners because of the intense, intimate nature of their shows.

Motionless In White stands out easily when you see them on stage. The band is always costumed, tying into their gothic / horror inspirations and themes. If you're thinking that's a bit of a gimmick – the fans that have helped the fan's two LPs top in the Billboard 200 don't agree with you.

Silent since the summer of 2012, when they dropped their sophomore album Life Cycles, The Word Alive should have new material out in the months leading up to Warped 2014. Life Cycles debuted at No. 50 on the Billboard 200 so LP3 should have huge expectations – and if it follows the band's consistent trends, Warped-goers will flock to their sets in droves.

This Wild Life is just an acoustic duo – nothing flashy, on the surface – but the act has clearly cracked some sort of code. Everything they upload to YouTube, whether it's an original track or a cover song, garners hundreds of thousands of views, and they were on Warped Tour's radar to the tune of getting a summer-long spot on the Domo Stage. With a powerful manager and booking agent in their corner, expect This Wild Life to explode in popularity before Warped actually rolls around.

Real Friends isn't amongst pop-punk's biggest names yet, but they'll be there soon. The Chicago act is on a ferocious tear over the past year; their Late Nights In My Car EP, a short stint on Warped 2013 and a small-club headlining run in the fall cemented the band's spot as the up-and-coming group in this genre. It's not a question of if Real Friends is ready to step up to the plate with The Wonder Years and The Story So Far – the question is when they'll get there. Our bet is that a debut LP this year before Warped Tour will make a huge statement.

Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 5 (2002, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2012)

Still one of the most recognizable names in pop-punk, Yellowcard has weathered the storm of a hiatus and come back stronger than ever. They're actually more active post-hiatus than they ever were in their mainstream years between 2003 and 2006. The band has released four LPs since 2010 – two brand-new ones, including the fantastic Southern Air, as well as full acoustic re-imaginings of When You're Through Thinking Say Yes and Ocean Avenue. What this band has that so many Warped Tour bands lack is a wheelhouse of true hit songs – their crowds are always jam-packed because who's going to miss out on hearing "Ocean Avenue" and "Only One" and "Lights and Sounds"? Plus, they're writing a new album and we'd bet on a new single being released before Warped kicks off.

Born of Osiris' third full-length, Tomorrow We Die Alive, marked the group's most impressive release to date, charting at No. 27 on the Billboard 200. Despite that success, the group isn't slowing down – they just announced that they're working on their follow-up to that 2013 release. Our guess is that the band won't have a new album before Warped, but you might expect to hear a new song.

Previous Warped Tour Appearances: 1 (2013)

The Story So Far took a huge step with their debut LP, 2011's Under Soil and Dirt, and made everyone think they were the next big thing in this genre. The follow-up, last year's What You Don't See, was a strong album full of concise, punch-packing pop-punk tracks, but didn't quite elevate the band to the level some expected them to be at. That perception may change over the summer, as we have an inkling these California natives could be on Warped's main stage this year – taking the spot that The Wonder Years filled in 2013. Regardless, TSSF is one of pop-punk's brightest spots right now, and will be fun to watch no matter what stage they rock.

2014 is the year of the WATIC, apparently. We Are The In Crowd released its new album, Weird Kids, earlier this year and are now preparing for a long world tour. Including Warped in those plans was an obvious decision – their punk-tinged, poppy sound will be addictive over the summer. Think All Time Low songs with Hayley Williams singing them.

Echosmith began gaining traction on last year's Warped Tour – and have been regularly featured on the current season on Warped Roadies – but 2014 could be their true breakout year. The band has a mighty team behind them courtesy of Warner Bros. Records, and some people have compared vocalist Sydney Sierota to a teenage Hayley Williams.

Parkway Drive are basically the A Day To Remember of Australia – they're an absolutely enormous band in their home country, playing a brand of melodic metalcore that has landed them on huge tours around the globe. If you haven't heard these guys yet, now's a good chance to check them out. They'll have crazy crowds all summer long.

We The Kings may operate on a quieter level now that they've left S-Curve Records, but the band has a strong core fanbase that has followed them since the release of their self-titled debut in 2007. That album spawned the singles "Skyway Avenue" and "Check Yes Juliet" (the latter of which peaked at No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100), and We The Kings has actually never released an album that didn't produce a single on the Hot 100. The end result of that is a setlist that's full of legitimate hit songs that are perfect for the hot summer weather, so Warped Tour is a natural choice.

Pretty crazy considering the group only formed in 2012 – but they're growing at an insane rate!

Both ladies look lovely, we're just not sure which of their dresses is the most wardrobe-malfunction prone. Bonus: If you look close behind them, you can see Justin Timberlake talking to actress Rita Wilson.
