Ryan Raddon, better known as Kaskade, has been an active DJ for almost two decades now, but tonight's GRAMMY Awards brought new challenges for the Chicago-based EDM artist.

This was the first year Kaskade was nominated for two awards – Best Dance Recording for his single "Atmosphere," and Best Dance/Electronica Album for his hit album of the same name.

"I think we kicked and screamed and fought really hard to get a category and once we got it, a lot came along. People started recognizing [EDM] for what it is ... more people are taking note."
